AIPC Quality Standards Programme awards Gold Status to Durban ICC

At the International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC) conference held in Berlin at the end of June, the Durban ICC was presented with the Gold Certification from the AIPC Quality Standards programme.

To achieve this accreditation, the centre underwent a stringent standards audit which holistically evaluated the management and operation of the Centre from the Internal and Owner perspective as well as that of the Client and the Community perspectives.

The Gold status is the highest level of certification possible in the quality assessment programme and is the only specifically-purposed accreditation of its kind in the international conventions industry.

The AIPC Gold certification provides global recognition and respect in the international meetings industry and demonstrates our commitment to world-class standards in the management and operation of the Durban ICC. This endorsement complements the Durban ICC’s existing 5-star grading from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa and the other international certifications in Quality Management (ISO 9001), Environmental Responsibility (ISO 14001) and Food Safety (ISO 22000 and HACCP).
