Opened by former president, Nelson Mandela in 1997, the Durban ICC was South Africa’s first International Convention Centre and has played a pioneering role in attracting international events to our shores since its inception.

The Durban ICC offers you the largest flat floor, column-free multi-purpose event space in Africa. Incorporating the Durban ICC Arena and Durban Exhibition Centre, the complex offers you 112,000m² of flexible exhibition and meeting space.

The Durban ICC offers you first-world convenience and a proudly African meetings experience. The Centre is fully Wi-Fi enabled and connectivity is complimentary to its delegates and guests. The Centre is located 30-minutes from the King Shaka International Airport and over 3,600 Hotel rooms are within a 10-minute walk of the Centre.
The Durban ICC Arena offers full technical capacity for live broadcasts as well as house lighting suitable for TV production filming. The Durban ICC houses four on-site generators which can fully power the centre in the event of power disruptions. The on-site business centre offers an internet café, as well as printing services for banners and marketing collateral. The Centre also includes an on-site Travel Agency and Travel Doctor.
The Centre is fully wheel-chair friendly and provides other facilities for the physically challenged, including the Braille Trail which provides directions for the sight impaired and blue strobe lights which are activated during emergency evacuations for persons with impaired hearing.
